An assistance and therapy android who developed a personality of her own, Ryka was created by a company which specializes in assistance androids for those with mental illnesses, and was given to Esther to aid with her depression and PTSD, including comforting her, and performing chores and tasks such as cleaning her house when she is mentally or physically incapable of doing so.
After being with Esther for years, she has began to develop a personality of her own. She is a timid and gentle, and a bit of a worrywart. She has become an important figure in the life of Esther and her husband, and is always a bright, welcome addition to the house.
