About
Cari doesn't remember much. Her earliest memories are of snow. Lots of snow, and cold, and, eventually, voices.
"We don't have room for her!"
"Yes, we do, you know we do, I just expanded the west room!"
"She won't be able to support herself!"
"You don't know that!"
The yelling continued for a few minutes, too blurred for the verging-on-unconscious rabbit to figure out. Eventually she was picked up and carried- though to where she wasn't able to tell.
A few days passed before she woke up. She was in a small, warm bed, in a small, warm room, with a fireplace crackling merrily in the corner. A table sat nearby with soup sitting idly in a bowl.
Before she could so much as sit up, the door burst open and a happily chatting jackal strutted in.
"One sec, Hana, I'm going to make sure her fire's still going-" It was at this point the jackal noticed she was, in fact, awake. He let out a sharp 'gasp' (it was, in fact, a shriek), and excitedly called 'Hana' (who turned out to be a very grumpy looking cat) into the room.
After intense drilling, mostly by Hana as 'Kivit' watched on with an apologetic smile on his face.
"What's your name?"
"I don't remember."
"What's your job?"
"No clue!"
"Where did you come from!?"
"Haven't the slightest!"
This continued for a few minutes, Hana becoming more and more exasperated and the rabbit becoming more and more confused. Eventually Hana stormed out, followed quickly by Kivit. Shouting could be heard for a few minutes, then a lower murmur of talk.
Kivit then strolled purposefully back into the room, followed by an extremely mad looking Hana.
"Alright then. You're gonna stay here, and take care of our plants, and we are going to call you Carrotfur." Kivit declared, looking proud.
"Waitwaitwait. I agreed to let her stay, but Carrotfur? No way. Think of something else." Hana said, marching up to Kivit.
"Fine, fine! Um.... Cari, maybe? Then? Is that okay?" He glanced between Hana and Cari. Cari gave a curt nod, and a happy grin, and Hana just huffed.
Cari slowly but surely became part of the dynamic. They never could figure out where she came from, or her past, but Cari seemed to settle alright
