Kirby spends half of his time tending to his plants and making sure they grow to their full potential, and the other half sleeping and eating. He has average motor skills, but doesn't do much beyond a moderate walking speed (unless he's hunting for dinner, of course). All of his plants are practically children to him, and he sort of mutters to them as he makes his rounds to care for them throughout the day.
Kirby tends to be slower in colder months and generally whenever he recently wakes up (he'll sleep just about anywhere but his "bed" is a pile of blankets on the ground next to a space heater). He tends to keep to himself, but it doesn't mean he doesn't want to make friends. He's just normally too busy taking care of his plants to go out and socialize.
