Destiny was very young when she was pulled into the ocean by a riptide and carried away from her home. She was sure she was going to die out in the waves before two divers from Oceandome rescued her and brought her to civilization. She originally intended to return home once she felt she was strong enough, but the ocean fascinated her and she instead decided to dedicate herself to exploring it. She was once a great athlete on land, so her drive and strength make her a fairly decent explorer with a lot to prove.
However, memories of home do still resurface and she wonder if she made the right choice. Her tell her that it was pure luck that she made it into Oceandome alive. However, Destiny thinks it was fate...or, you know...
