Despite her profession, Caduceus' lacks a certain compassionate nature one might typically find throughout her field. She can be cold and cruel, and highly experimental on patients new and old alike. What she lacks in a warm heart, she makes up for in knowledge and her ability to create remedies for illness of all kinds. A lover of books and ever wanting to learn more, she spends much of her free time researching things irrelevant to her own profession. It keeps her busy, which she enjoys as idleness tends to bore her. It's also wise to avoid her cooking. She tends to use odd ingredients likely meant for medicines, making things taste absolutely revolting and sometimes even poisoning her companions. At least she's built up a tolerance to potentially deadly toxins!

A p p e a r a n c e
With an off-white coat baring red accents, Caduceus keeps herself presentable to the public. Her fur is consistently soft and well kept, she rarely has a hair out of place. Both mane and tail are always well fluffed, with her tail always being held in a manner so it would never touch the ground. She doesn't bother with clothes, as they refine her movement and often make her feel suffocated. Even jewelry and anything of the like is avoided, otherwise she gets annoyed since her eye of detail keeps her aware of the little things bumping or brushing against her. Her walk is smooth, with each step appearing as if it were well thought about before even taking place. Always keeping her gaze ahead of her and never on the ground, one can tell just by her walk she is confident and unwavering as she moves for no one who approaches her.
P e r s o n a l i t y
Caduceus may appear as a flat or creepy soul from first glance, and many don't get pass that exterior when only visiting her office for medicine pick-ups. They're not far off in their assumptions, as she doesn't bother hiding who she is or how she might feel about a particular subject. The woman can be relentlessly blunt, as she is particularly indifferent to things she just doesn't care about. While her apathy and disregard for patient's feelings would seem to drive them away, she is actually very meticulous in her work and produces some of the best remedies available. She has an extensive amount of knowledge from her years in the field and thanks to a near constant drive to read and continue her education. If ever a new illness shows it's head, you can bet she's out in the field doing extensive observations of those inflicted, taking samples, and performing whatever research is necessary so she might produce a cure.
It's not that she particularly cares about saving individuals lives, as the many she lost while being a field nurse has left her numb to the prospect of saving a life just to save a life; instead, she does so because it is a reliable source of income and nothing fascinates her more than how a living body can bounce back from the brink of death given the right concoction of medication. Digressing back to her time as a field nurse, in times of desperation when plague is rampant and medicine is low, she has been dubbed the 'Angel of Mercy' as she will let those most unlikely to survive slip away in order to save medicine for the one's more able.
What humor she does have is macabre and flat; if anything, it's creepy to others and hilarious to her, though she'll give nothing more than a smirk at anything that amuses her. Her assistants are terrified of her, yet love her; though are absolutely baffled as to whether or not she actually cares about them. More than not, they're used as her guinea pigs.
H i s t o r y
Having grown up in a loving family - no one's really sure where exactly Caduceus got her peculiar personality from. Her parents were loving and friendly, along with the rest of her family; yet, she was always calculating and macabre. Regardless, she was still shown a great deal of love and always were her desires praised. She always had her head in books from the time she could read, and as such graduated rather early from grade-school and the schooling that followed. The woman became a nurse fairly young, and worked a few short years in doctor's offices before deciding she preferred having control over everything. So, she returned to school around the age of 24 to get chase a somewhat different career.
Around this time, while she spent her time abroad in larger cities - the underwater village she lived came under attack. Both her parents were rather famous explorers, supposedly withholding secrets from many; when a nasty group of pirates heard that a legendary map had been uncovered by the two; of course they couldn't just turn their heads! While her parents did their best to fight back, they were overwhelmed and slaughtered by the pirates; the map and their many treasures were taken, and unknowingly to Caduceus, she'd easily lost both parents in a single night while she studied the medicinal effects of distant herbs.
By the time the news reached her, their bodies would have already been interred and the tracks of their murderers long gone. Whether their deaths actually had an affect on her is uncertain, as her understanding of life and death left her somewhat numb. Ultimately, she wouldn't return to the ruined village until much later in life. She went on to become a Doctor first, and even serve as a field nurse during wars with mighty monsters across the lands and seas. It's during this time she earned her alias as the 'Angel of Mercy' as those who would undoubtedly die and only waste materials she would put down on the spot. It wasn't until the age of 30 that she finally went home, finding her old village in shambles and now uninhabited. The ocean took back everything, growing undersea plants over all and letting life flourish.
