Kalgaery is rather a nervous creature, shy and easily flustered. He much prefers the company of his plants to that of people when he can get away with it, although of the few close friends he;s made, nothing makes him happier than showing them a new discovery. He's even gotten the local blacksmith into keeping a small garden of his own, a feat of which Kal is very proud.

Kal is rather sickly, truly, almost always coming down with something, and uses it as an excuse to keep to himself and his gardens. He is, however, very friendly when approached. Generally, he just needs to lie down for awhile after a conversation. Unless it's about his research, in which case, the person on the receiving end may have to lie down for awhile afterward, instead.
