Darin is shy and quiet. The type of bear that smaller animals feel that they can trust. He saved Peter from a hunter's trap and the rabbit has been his constant companion ever since. Peter is actually much more fearless than Darin. Darin can sit still for hours and the animals just seem to come to him.
