Oculus is mysterious and shy but he likes to help others. He can feel left out and different sometimes because he is a Velociraptor, which is considered a rare species.
Oculus's skills as a Velociraptor gives him immense power and speed. This allows him to be very efficient as an Explorer. However, he still cowers under Levi's death glares and Kyoya's scary frowns. The both of them are just too unsociable and scary for this poor gentle giant. He can sometimes underestimate his own abilities. He loves hanging out with June but only sees her as a friend (he doesn't want to risk getting killed by Levi and Kyoya who have a crush on June)
