Azaras Lupai III was the princess of the Werewolf kingdom, an only child who spent most of her days sequestered in the feared castle where only monsters dwelled. She had little company, save for her werewolf subjects, and even they were flighty, for they had to hunt and fight, for the good of the kingdom. Sometimes, the friendlier of the lot would fail to return home, and Azaras would know, their kindness was their downfall.
Like her mother before her, Azaras' lycanthropy was so subtle, it was scarcely visible, especially in comparison to her terrifying subjects. The first adventurer to make their way into Azaras' quarters was surprised by her appearance, and their surprise had only magnified when the princess asked to be taken away.
Azaras had grown tired of her dismal courtly life, and had little interest in continuing the Lupai dynasty. No, she wanted adventure. She wanted companions. She wanted to see the world, and she most definitely did not want to marry a boy. Thus, she saw in the intruding adventurer an opportunity to flee.
The adventurer stole her away from the castle, but they lost each other in a small village, forced to separate when a pack of werewolves tore through the place, searching for their lost princess.
Azaras found herself under the care of a family of lizardfolk, and they took her in as one of their own. Alongside Kaleth, and her daughter Eilish, Azaras had the adventurous life she always dreamed of,
and the loving family she didn't know she needed.
