Villager: Culpeper

You stop at the foot of a small store which has a scratchy sign that reads, "Seedy Deposits." You think this is a good place to purchase some seeds, and you step inside. The door is squeaky and as you walk in, there's a 'To-do list' on the wall next to you. Figures, 'Fix squeaky door' was actually #2, maybe you could help with that. You do have that oil sitting in your house after all. As you dig deeper into the store, you notice many things; the most prominent being the smell of incense in the air. It first constricted your nose and mouth, but soon enough, you found it harmonious and peaceful. It put you in a good place.

"H-hello, m-m-my name i-is C-Culpeper. H-how are you-u?" A leopard gecko emerges slowly from the counter; A tan and white individual with dazing hazel eyes. You realize his unsteadiness in his tone and wondering if he's just shy or there's something deeper. You wave hello to him and continue looking at the various seeds on sale - They're so cheap! Some of the more rare seeds are only 50FC compared to the over exaggerated 500FC+ everyone else provides. You realize Culpeper is quite a sweet individual as he slips past you quietly and reads his 'To-do list'. You hear him mutter to himself while you slide over to the shelf where there are various flowers.

"F-fix shelv-elving..." He mutters sadly, he turns to see you looking at him. He stares back confused and puts on a smile, "C-can I h-help you-u with any-anything?" He asks. Right away you see his smile is a fake, and his speech is certainly impaired. You feel sorry for him; he seems so sad about it. You want to comfort him somehow.

"Are you okay?" You ask him, his eyes glassing up slightly. He blinks for the first time you came in and sits down on the floor, the list above head. "N-No..." He tells you, clearly upset. You approach him and sit down. You notice he smells strongly of tea- Maybe black tea? He looks down and back at you, "Culpeper, tell me what's wrong?" You nudge him slightly; trying not to sound so direct and forcing. He can tell you when he's ready.

"It's something out of my hands." He says, showing a face of surprise after he finished that sentence. He spoke a full sentence with stuttering. Progress, you think. "It's h-how I s-speak." Yes, you noticed this before. You didn't really mind. He's just another person, and his 'imperfection' makes him special; in a good way. You tell him this. You tell him he's perfect the way he is, and that he shouldn't feel inferior because of something he can't control. You stress this to him, as he looked pretty glum minutes before.

"T-thank you. N-no one's r-really cared-ed before." He finally says, firmly getting up and breathing deeply. "Is there a-anything.. anything you want to buy?" He says slowly as he approaches his counter. You point to a few seeds and flowers and he retrieves them quickly before putting them all in a special bag; A green bag with the outline 'Thank you for shopping at SEEDY DEPOSITS', the last two words being bigger than the rest. He puts all the items in the bag as you pull out some FurCash. You know exactly how much it costs, but seconds after have to alter the Cash you give.

"25% off this price." He calmly states, a whole-hearted smile embracing his facial features this time. With this, you grab your bag and exit, waving a stern goodbye. You think you might come back and see how he's doing when you need to buy some more stuff.
