Pumpkin Growing Contest

Hi all! Just quickly letting you know that we've disabled the pumpkin growing part of the event for now until it can be better balanced and tested.
It may or may not be back in time for the conclusion of the event, but all rewards it would have offered will be available in some capacity.
Generally speaking, I'd like for the following to be true before the event returns:
1) Everyone can have a chance to get a gold trophy.
2) Your inventory won't be flooded with items.
I know things have been a little hectic lately, but I'd like to assure everyone your concerns are not going unheard. We'll have more updates on this situation soon!
Oregoncoast - you don't need to do any clicking to get candy points. As long as you're active on the site, then every 10 minutes some candy should be deposited in your stash. It has nothing to do with karma score. Positive and negative karma have different candies, but that's just cosmetic, they both give candy points. Also, 14160 is enough to buy literally two of everything currently in the prize shop and still have over 4000 points left.
i'm confused i missed something
I came back from work and was confused all can be.. I looked through the news for information of the pumpkin growing part, but can't find any info other than 'something broke and we'll fix', but now I'm very way behind apparently.
Also I've been sleep deprived for this event, clicking myself silly for my cp and comparing to others, getting the same amount roughly, yet I've only managed Candy Points: 14160
This Fertilizer recipe is 500 points, which is a massive chunk of my prize spending. I'm not sure if I should spend it on what's needed for a second part of this event or hundle around my remaining cp and try to pick maybe 3 prizes =( unlike the pirate event, I never seemed to gain enough, nor figure out how to earn more of these candy points?
So, a bunch of people got a headstart on this part of the event and the rest of us missed out, because y'all didn't bother to tell us ahead of time when it would start? Seems unfair.
Nevermind, I woke up enough to find the recipe. I guess I'll just start making fertilizer and hope I can participate in the second half of the festival.
I can still plant seeds fine for pumpkins ?

Also how do you get trophy's from this?
Wtf... I didn't even know the second half had started and I didn't even get a pumpkin fertilizer recipe... So I guess that means I can't compete at all in the second half.
Why can none of the careers learn the Pumpkin Fertilizer blueprint?
