This update brings a lot of fun news for all villagers! We're happy to announce that Furvilla is holding its first official contest - the Design a Knowledge Base Article Contest. Prizes include the rare Contributor Trophy, some exclusive mini-pets, and FurDollars! Read more about the contest by clicking here. This contest ends September 18th.
Our second contest involves selecting a new NPC for a feature we have on the horizon. If you're interested in having your character officially cameo in the game like the Shopkeepers, feel free to check out our Facebook Contest. That contest ends September 7th.
A bunch of new forum boards have been added now: Official Contests, Service Sales, Coding Sales, User Run Contests, Fun and Games, and Coding Discussion.
Finally, villagers have seen some changes. First, the Red Panda has finally been distinguished from the Raccoon and now has its own base. In addition, it has gained two new colors: Piebald Red Panda and Calico Red Panda. Second, the Corvid Species has been released and contains the Hooded Crow, the Magpie, and the Raven. Finally, some older species have received new colors: the Black Cat, Black Horse, Buckskin Horse, Donkey Horse, Secretarybird Raptor, Hog Nosed Skunk, and Tokay Gecko.

@MOD-Poltergeist but, they did? If you look at my villager Steady and the current horse base, they're different!
Definitely a shame the contest is Facebook only.

@Calixta It is strange there's no black crow!
My proposal: Make the current raven villager a crow in the next update (like the arctic fox became the marble fox) and make a new raven with the proper beak/tail shape (at the very least, there's loads more raven/crow differences not shown on this base though) to cover both bases! Other species have great attention to their respective differences shown (such as the different foxes with their ear shapes, different wolves, different lizards, etc) so I feel a bit strange about how very completely crowlike and absolutely unravenlike this raven we have is. I kinda almost feel like it was maybe meant to be the crow? Except for the throat feathers...
TL;DR Pull an Arctic/Marble fox on the Raven villager and turn it into a Crow in the next update in exchange for a raven with actual raven features, then everyone wins as we currently lack a black crow and the current raven lacks all but one raven feature.

this is a little late, but are you guys going to be changing the forum vistas for red pandas? :0 Id love one of the new version!
BTW, I would love to see just a normal all black Crow! I got the Raven instead, since it's a solid color, but it has a blueish hue and blue eyes. :c I know I could get get a paintie, but I'd just... rather not have to.
Oh my goodness CORVIDS! Finally! They were my most wanted species when I first started, seriously, :D Shame they were released after I already finished Magpie's paintie, but then again the OC she's based on is a magpie *monster* rather than an actual magpie so she makes sense as a velociraptor too :P
And the donkey and secretary bird are absolutely adorable!
Excellent! I love the fact you brought in corvids. As a raven lover, this makes me so, SO happy.
@MOD-Poltergeist thank you! Would that apply to the horses as well, since they got one too?
I hope the raccoon base gets a revamp, it still looks a lot more like a red panda than a raccoon, especially in the hands and feet.
