Seeking Moderators
Posted by Mat on 2 Jul 2016, 9:15 pm

Greetings, villagers! As you may have noticed we received a massive influx of players over the last day. This is far more than our little team of moderators can handle, so we're looking to expand our moderator team, and welcome some new Player Safety members! If you are interested in applying for a moderator position, please send a message to [email protected] with the following: your Furvilla username, your age, your location and time zone, your prior moderation experience, and why you'd like to be a moderator on Furvilla. Please note that we can only accept applications from players aged eighteen or older.
Also, we have a message to share from MOD-Deinmaar, the Head of Community, who would like to address some issues with our current moderators' actions:
The moderators owe the entire Furvilla Community a massive apology. The deletion of many, many threads that never actually violated the Terms of Service wasn't right of us, and we are working to rectify and retrain our team before we open the forums and chats again to make sure this is never an issue again. Miscommunication is no excuse, and we gravely apologize for the trauma this has caused many users who did absolutely nothing wrong. We sincerely hope you enjoy the rest of the site while we work diligently to right our wrongs.
Furvilla has received a much higher amount of registrations than we were prepared for and we're working to ensure our Forums and Chatrooms are welcoming to all members. Please bear with us while we hire additional help! In the meantime, if you haven't gotten a chance, please be sure to read the Newbie Guide and continue your enjoyment of the game.
Have a lovely night!

Good luck to those who apply!
I'd just like to say that I'm happy that you all are addressing the issues at hand and dealing with them as soon as possible. Thank you, and I sincerely hope that this site can improve its current state.
Sent an application, either way I'm very glad you addressed this! Thank you for taking the time to give us a response! It's much appreciated. : D
It's really nice to see the mods apologize for their actions; owning up to your mistakes is always a good thing, and I haven't ever seen any figures of authority do this anywhere else on the web. Good on you, mods, and good luck.
I hope you guys fix the lag issues and stuff. I wish you guys the best of luck!! ;-)
Thank you for your clarification! I hope that new moderators can be found soon and that everything continues to run smoothly. Best of luck to anyone who applied!
Thanks for clearing everything up so prompty. The staff here is already very great at what they do, obviously, so I am sure you guys will do great at keeping everything running smoothly. A big community like this is a gift and a burden, but I'm sure everything will calm down soon once some more moderation is added to the staff here. I wish you luck on your mod-hunt!
thank you very much for being direct and for the apology, it's greatly appreciated, and i'm sure a lot of us can understand now just how much pressure it's been working with such a small number of staff with such a sudden influx of users. i wish you all the best in finding other moderators and that hopefully these things will be ironed out and become much easier to manage and settle in!
Thank you for addressing the wrong ya'll did, I didn't expect it honestly.
I'm happy you've all owned up to the deletion of innocent posts, please take this as a hard lesson.
It's honestly good to see the mods owning up and apologizing for the mistakes they have made, also that they're trying to fix them and even fire more mods to help the community. It's a brand new game still in it's bate phane and honestly people shouldn't be so critical of the things that have gone wrong, this is a test run to work out issues like the ones we've faced and possible future problems. Please be kind to the staff who's just trying to keep this site going smoothly
