Villager: Lucek

Lucek was born under strange circumstances, at least that is what his parents told him when he was young. The story goes that both he and his twin sister were stillborn, yet were able to be saved fortunately. The reality however, was a bit more complicated.

The Twins only survived due to a deal with Death their mother made. The price was a soul, or rather half of it... each family member paid the price and from that point onwards the twins were forever linked both in body and mind.

While there were no issues for the children as they were able to adapt as they grew up, the parents died when both Lucek and his sister Luciela were eight years old as they could not sustain themselves on half a soul infinitely..

Despite the many burdens they shared in life, Lucek and his sister grew up healthily. The boy showed affinity for working with animals and that was the career he pursued, while Luciela became a herbalist, growing plants so that the village would have an ample supply.

As they shared a body, no one ever saw them together in one place, not did they ever change places in public, this was a secret they had kept since they were born and would keep till they died.... again.

The day came when he and his sister would be separated. The alchemist - Tsurugi, who came when Selmeria called for him, made a potion that should allow the twins to be separated, without too many negative effects. There was a risk that the half that would be removed, could be lost, but that was a risk Lucek was willing to take. He wanted his sister to live a normal life.

Of course she objected it, saying she would be the one to drink it. But that was not what Lucek desired. Even if he would die, he wanted his sister to be the one to continue living... even if she hated him for it.

The day that was chosen was one when he was active, at the same time he chose a time when she was not yet wholly conscious. He was not alone though, both Tsurugi and Selmeria were present. If anything went wrong they should be able to help, at least somewhat....

Lucek chugged the potion, it tasted... well he had no idea how to describe it, as it was nothing like he ever drank before. At first nothing happened, then his world went blank. No dark, but blank, as if there was just nothing, a detached space.

It took some time before he adjusted to his new body. Lucek could feel it was different, bigger, possibly stronger, but also strangely foreign. He felt magic in the air, it was more pronounced than before.

As he stood up, he noticed his hands, they were... well... he wondered if he would ever be able to tend to his animals like before, not to mention his sister. Lucek hoped everything was all right with Luciela. He wondered how she'd react to his body being like this.

A twig snapped behind him, making Lucek turn around abruptly, There he saw his sister, Tsurugi and Selmeria. He wanted to say something, seeing how unsure their expressions were, though before he could, all wind left his lungs due to the tacklehug Luciela presented him with.

"You stupid idiot... Do not do anything like that ever again... I swear if you try leaving me alone I will make sure to bring you back... no matter what..!" She was crying while she hugged him, her body smaller than his, only thing he could do was embrace her. "Sorry..." He said sheepishly.

He looked at the others for help, but when his eyes locked with the Alchemists... he saw something that made him pale lightly. Yet Tsurugi only shook his head, as if meaning to say that he had nothing to worry about. Lucek would not say what he saw then, but the Alchemist had a secret of his own...

Now though, the four of them returned to the village, where things would be rowdy for a while, before everyone got used to Lucek's new form.
