Villager: Area

Maniacal cackling and howling are often heard from the house at the end of the street -- the residence of Area the alchemist. Since he bought a sketchy recipe book from the local alchemist supply store and turned himself into a crazy-looking beast thing, those noises have become ten times louder -- in fact, Johnny has had to repair the floorboards a number of times from the wolf-turned-Wickerbeast's obnoxious stomping. Area is mostly happy with the strength of his new seven-foot-tall body, but he is just the slightest bit disappointed that his fur color was pink (of all colors) and the others (even The Blackmailer on one occasion) tease him about it.
Area is m's partner in crime, experimenting with toxic herbs to create recreational drugs. Many times, he has nearly burnt down his house because of chemical explosions, but Johnny is always there to save his house from collapsing. As much as Dr. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm scolds him on fire safety, he is constantly trying to find the most efficient way to make nitroglycerin from Angry Root extract. m sometimes uses Area as a scarecrow for the garden when his house is being repaired.
Area could almost be considered a typical mad scientist, if his personality did not diverge in one place. He is very sociable and outgoing. and very open on divulging his experiments to other people. He uses the weed garden as a conversation topic a lot -- even more than m would like. He has a tendency to begin conversations with random strangers and invites them to the garden to hang out if he likes them enough. Not many people try to approach him because of his large and ominous build (except for other people who are of the same species), so he often goes to start the conversations himself. But that scares off many people anyway. Area is also the most light-hearted of the bunch, and jokes around all the time. For example, when Area first came into town, he asked Juanito if the name of his career meant he had to marry animals.
Area is caught in a weird love triangle with m and Damian of Waterdome. Area is closer friends with m (though platonic for the time being) and Damian has a huge crush on Area and Area doesn't know what to make of it.
