jewel appeared in the village one morning out of no where, no one knows why, she keeps to herself in a simple embedded cabbin built underground where she goes about building and reparing things, she hardly talks and watches the others from affar,

to an extent, yeah! wendigos are basically former humans that resorted to cannibalism for whatever reason and as a result, ended up becoming wendigos themselves. so wendigos themselves technically aren't cannibals since they eat humans, but they're still labeled as such because human cannibalism is what caused them to becomes wendigos in the first place.
