Also this boy likes growing deadbow in his tail. Honestly, the herbalism thing makes 'em feel more alive. Ironically, the pink flowers (eglantine roses, meaning 'a wound to heal') are what's seeping away his life force. Not the moss. The flowers.
Also originally he had a second set of wings but he decided it would be good to lose those for a number of reasons
