Some Backstory:
Ever since Elliot was a child, he was always the one who saw the bright side of things, while at the same time being known for his harmless pranks. Elliot has a tendency to laugh a decent amount at jokes, no matter how bad the joke is. However, his happiness was merely exterior. At the end of the day, he went home to a raging alcoholic of a mother, in which he witnessed her cheat on his father on one occasion. After years of growing up this way, Elliot grew to loathe and despise anything to do with alcohol, from the smell to its very appearance. Being born a biological female, he was forced to wear dresses as well as let his hair grow long. Elliot knew from a young age that he wasn't female, but he didn't know that a proper term for what he felt existed. Years later, he discovered the word. Transgender. It seemed as if it was a word specially made for him and how he had been feeling. At this time, his mother had left her alcoholic ways, and she had been a few years clean. Elliot had grown closer with his mother because of this, and they now had a strong bond. Yet, when he came out to her as being transgender, she denied his claims and refused to believe nor support him.
Elliot prefers to not talk about his home life to others, and tries to act as optimistic as he can. However, there are some moments where Elliot's clinically diagnosed severe depression can take overwhelm him, and so his mood dive-bombs. He can go for days without socializing, not even wanting to get out of bed. Elliot does seek help for his depression, whether it be through his friends or drawing, and hesitantly takes medication for it.
