Roman always knew he was different, more then just his sexuality. Born to two regular red wolves, his shimmering fur and feathered wings perplexed both his parents and doctors! To his parents, he was a miracle child, but whispers and rumors spread quickly in the small town Roman and his parents lived in and eventually the small family made the decision to move to Olde Foxbury in hopes for Roman to grow up in a bigger, more open community. At ten years old, Roman was informed by his parents that there was a young fae-fox not dissimilar to Roman who had recently entered Foxbury's foster system and needed a place to stay. When Vinnie and Roman met they instantly became friends, and though things were hard for Vinnie, having a big brother definitely helped out, and Vinnie was adopted by Roman's parents just over a year later.
Nobody seems to know what happened to their parents. The only thing either of them have claimed is that have lived alone since Roman was nineteen. Vinnie seemed to cope by surrounding himself with as many friends as possible, and the once sociable Roman became much more reclusive. Though he's never been unfriendly, he definitely became quicker to anger, and always makes himself think that people don't like him.
( I don't like to imagine where I'd be without a support like Roman. I know he thinks of himself as an outsider, but he's more loved then he'll ever know. >
