Star Captain Irece Malthus is the younger sister of Alex. Her keen eyes and sense of smell have earned her a spot as the team's Scout. She has no secondary role.
Irece has enabled the Clan to thrive with the substantial amount of litter she alone has found, giving seeds to Rihanna to plant and therefore enabling Jackie to work on medicines, and giving resources to Giles to build his weapons and enable the Malthus warriors to protect the Clan. Cassandra and Jake have only recently begun to help Irece's efforts, but Irece is who finds the most out in the wilds, and allows the Clan to survive at all.
