As a child, Pekka was rambuncious and energetic, often found by her parents covered in mud and grass stains as she hunted down lonely little animals and new and interesting plants. Her parents had expected her to become an Explorer when she reached adulthood, as she was so good at finding things.
In a suprising move to everyone who thought they knew her, Pekka instead chose Herbology as her main occupation, a job her friends and family thought was two low-key for her, and though she studied Animal Husbandry deligently in university, she only uses what she knows to breed Bats.
