A pair of glowing orbs seem to float forward as you enter the cave, gradually revealing the silhouette of a feline with decidedly serpentine features. His rounded face is decorated by piercings, long fangs and blue fur making him stand out even further. Did you just hear a rattle?
"Heya. I'm Lex. Welcome to my home." Before you can determine what exactly he is, the snake-cat-thing gestures proudly at the cave's main light source: A blanket of bioluminescent cyan mushrooms covering the walls, garnished with some complimentary fungi of various types.
"Aren't they beautiful? I'm growing a couple of neat things down here. You're welcome to take samples, but I recommend against eating anything... unless you really know what you're doing." Lex smirks, forked tongue flicking over his nose.
"I love to experiment with exotics, but these species grow naturally around the manor and surrounding forest." He points a clawed finger at two large plots ahead, nourished by small holes in the cave ceiling and diligently guarded by a tabby flitten. You take note of at least eight different species growing there, most of them clearly labeled.
"If you're going to explore, watch out for the creatures lurking deeper inside. They can be... difficult to handle. And I can't be responsible for you, too."
An eerie howl echoes throughout the tunnels beyond your sight, simultaneously warning and beckoning. Lex's ears twitch, and he starts to slink away. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have projects to finish. Let me know if you're in need of a tail mouth, a were tail, or a reaper scythe."
And just like that, he was gone again. The hyena behind you just shrugs and bounces back out to the woods, leaving you to your own devices.
A subterreanean, shapeshifting, venomous, psyvampiric, androgynous mutant jaguarundi with a bit of rattlesnake and parasitic fungus thrown in. He might be aloof or bitey at first, but tends to observe before unraveling. Morally ambiguous and often afflicted with melancholic laziness. Enjoys art, crafting, music, games, exploration, herbalism, and creatures of all sorts.
