Alabaster is aware of his gryphon anatomy being rather uncommon. Growing up, he sometimes came to face unprepared doctors that did not know which general group of animals he most closely belonged to and who therefore struggled with his diagnoses and treatment. This led to him deciding to take up a position in the medical field, and he has sought to gather thorough knowledge of the anatomy and ailments of all the species his fellow villagers might be.
