About
A tribute.
Earlier the other day, I noticed a moth lightly fluttering around at my feet. It was weak, barely able to keep itself off the ground for a few seconds. So I gently held out my hand, and it fluttered on. I decided we were going to have an adventure, one last trip before the poor thing couldn't hold on anymore.
And so off we went. We rode on a bus, avoided strange looks from strangers, and all the while it stood on my palm, sometimes gently quivering.
And then it trembled, and gave way. It died in my hands. The tiniest moth you've ever seen, resting in my palm. And it blew away in the wind, I bid it farewell.
It made me think of how fragile we all are, so small. Here one second, gone the next.
Life is short, it can disappear so quickly. Please don't waste it. <3

This reminds me of the time I was talking to a friend on the phone. It was loud inside, so I went outside to my pool. I found an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail lying there, floating in the pool. I pulled it out, thinking it was dead, and put my friend on hold. To my surprise, the butterfly was alive. It fluttered in my hand, but it's wing was broken. It couldn't leave, so being the caring crybaby I am, I took care of it for 3 days straight, feeding it sugary water, riding it around on my palm. I named him "Buddy", and I checked on him each day. He'd wait for me in my garden, and crawl onto my hand when I came by. He always refused to come off. After those 3 days, he flew off, all better. I was so proud raising that little baby. <3
*crying* I do this with moths and butterflies in their last moments of life. One time a butterfly landed in my hair, and I pulled it out of my hai and set it down, but it wouldn't move. I left t it there for about a minute or so and it still hadn't moved. I picked up the smol and held it for probably ten minutes until it stopped moving. It was big, too. A tiger swallowtail. It actually made me really depressed.
I'm glad you gave the moth its last adventure... may the little guy rest in peace.
Kreet was actually done by a friend of mine! Jaquel(#8542)
