Some things never change. The looks, that's to be expected.
He is hardly a bird's cry from the obsessive, often fanatical captain he was in his youth. All the drive and passion to achieve his ambitions can be seen in the heat of his eyes, in the determination etched through the feathers of his face. It's there in the strength of his wings, the sturdy line of his back, the focus in his step. He doesn't just dream - he calculates, he executes and then he attains.
Anything and everything.
Head on like a warrior at arms. He wanted the leadership, he earned it. Wanted the title, he fought for it. The game, the win, the sponsor, the fame - he got it. All through dedication and a diligent, unrelenting, near maniacal frenzy that drove him to the heights of his career and personal success. Perseverance and by never accepting defeat lying down.
He utilizes those same tactics he once used in his current position, which is less than appropriate. He's coming into his own once more and the magic too, but then again it never truly left him to begin with. It's just bringing it to life again, along with those not so foreign charms.
And that is simple, easy math, a cake walk in comparison. Now if only he could manage that same showmanship with Percy, have the performance sink and the personal acclaim to boot; that would put rehearsing wand work to shame.
He's still chasing the dream, but that's part of the fun.
