Vampirism. Symptoms include craving blood, sensitivity to sunlight, an allergy to garlic, and changing into a bat after especially forceful sneezes. If they start to sparkle, immediately consume a Golden Apple to cure the infection.
About
Shawyen is a healer and caretaker of animals with an acidic personality and a love for books that eclipses his love for fellow living companionship. Often his services are paid for with a rare manuscript or a first edition copy of something esoteric.
He is the resident healer for Nouveau Atlantis (and also sort of it's default Librarian), having made the floating city his home for many years now. Whether treating a broken leg or a sick fish-friend he is the go-to healer for emergencies or care-giving too small to require a trip all the way down to Oceandome.
Originally hailing from Olde Foxbury he likely has a fair bounty on his head but blessings upon the person wanting to go through the sizable amount of pirates in order to take it.
He likes: Turkish style coffee, mint tea, books, manuscripts, the smell of old paper, steady bookcases, small animals, herb gardens, new moon nights, warm sea water, cool night air, when the tiny animals curl up on the chest fluffs, expensive jewelry, fine fabrics, getting a full night's sleep (good luck on that one Shaw.)

Erato's animals keep eating my plants! *she pouts slightly* Not the ocean ones, but to be fair those are really bad for people and Erato keeps them away. She couldn't keep them away from my daisies? But then she just pats my head. And um... *blushes* They're still teasing me. About Atlantis.
*she giggles* Not one I know about! And this is completely age-appropriate. I'd let Clio read it, but she might get ideas. The Museum gets lively enough without her deciding to take up Court dramas. Or create them- can you imagine? It's much nicer now, with all of us mostly getting along-
It's called "A Garden of Deceit" and it's one of those fantasy court stories! Very fun! My gardening has been well, Clio's brother gave me some seeds and it's so nice to grow some plants the animals won't nibble on. Some of them look like brains. *giggles*
