Villager: Maii

They say that the Coyote brought fires from the heavens so the people could have its heat and light.
They say the Coyote was the one who told the first lie, denying his manic laughter as he tried to create as the other gods did.
They say that Coyote is a mediator between life and death, and that is why he is among the tricksters.

This, and many other stories have a truth to them. But they are never quite as it is told.


Coyote swallowed heavens flame. And from his belly he allowed the fires to spread, filling his veins with searing heat and light. He lied to cover his crime. And now, he stands on the precipice of life and death, with fire in his blood that threatens to make him boil, and yet keeps him fueled.

But why did he steal it...?



Name: Ma'ii Coyotl
Alignment: Chaotic neutral.
Race: Coyote demigod- Long-lived, but not immortal.
Jobs: Craftsman- Uses his fires to create and refine goods to sell at a greater price. He also runs the inn in town that is known for it's gambling.
Strengths: Has nearly limitless fire that he can conjure up at will. Rarely gets tired, is very charismatic and quite good at lying and manipulation. Can see in the dark and can withstand extreme heat.
Weaknesses: The cold and damp-- The cold and damp will put out his fires, stop him from conjuring more, make him lethargic and slow, put him into a deep sleep or even put out his fires completely, killing him. Has difficulty opening up or getting close to anyone. Lies a lot- isn't trusted easily.
