Interestingly enough, Snowfall Hamelen first wished to become a doctor so he could omit his first name. Thankfully, the more refined desires to help and heal those in need quickly overshadowed his prior goals.
Even though being helpful tied in very well with his blacksmith upbringing way back in Tigereye.
Wherever able, Dr. Hamelen does whatever he can for the sake of others. Even though his profession can take him to the heart of some truly gory cases, he's been able to fall back on raw predatory bird instincts and largely remain unfazed. Such can color him as uncaring or insensitive, even stuffy, which is untrue. Why would he be a doctor if he didn't care?
So.... he adopted a polite little Winter Arcty named Lace. Take that haters.
