oh, in gimp you can pre-choose transparent backgrounds!! when you make a new canvas, it says 'advanced options'. there you'll see 'Fill with:' click the drop-down list and choose transparent! <3

@Epesode Just a mouse, no tablet. And the art program Gimp.

I didn't remember until this morning about the magic wand tool for making my background not be white anymore. Slowly old skills are coming back. I don't think I'll ever be drawing on a tablet, unless I can someday miraculously afford the tablets where you can see what you're drawing as you draw, but for now, mouse will have to do.

but still it is very, very impressive that after 15 yrs you even knew the tools to use!! it's so much better than what I've tried to do and I've been digitally painting for years :')

I mean I guess it could have to do with me not knowing how to use this new paint program but like
sigh.

did you use a tablet? I'm a mouse artist :)

@epesode The greyscale bases really help! I apparently can still color just fine. I don't think I could draw digitally though. I've always found coloring to be soothing, so I suppose that's why Diamedes turned out as well as she did.

in case you didn't know, you can see the username right next to the villager name. just in case you didn't know you didn't have to visit the person's profile to get their username!!

I wanted to tell you, you ping the person's username, not their main villager! For instance, I would do Terminus , and not @Diamedes <3 hope that helps

Kevin Thank you! The sorta pearlescent/irridescent coloring is mine, first time doing digital art in probably 15 years, so I'm really proud of how it turned out!
