Zal is a level-headed, passionate botanist with a quick enough wit to match most scholars and tricksters he comes across. His cleverness allows him to pick up on new skills very quickly, though picking up on social cues is another story...

This botanist likes to think of himself as the best around, which often leads him to become entitled and cocky when things go his way. Earn his respect, though, and he becomes a gracious, fun-loving ally.

He prefers to stay secluded from most of the other villagers, only opening up to authoritative figures and close friends. As long as he's doing his job, though, no one seems to mind.
