Sora was sold into slavery. Due to the trauma, he lost his voice.
He was rescued and taken in by Kalintz, an FBI agent, who is helping him try to find his voice. Until then he uses a tablet and pen he carries around to talk to the very few people hes comfortable talking to.
He finds he loves to draw too.

Thank you! We won't give up on him! We tried to get him to try therapy, but he refuses. He writes that he doesn't want to go see more strangers. He's afraid to be shut into a small room with people he doesn't know. Even though I assured him I would go with him.

This is a good idea! He does like to blast music while I'm at work during the day. Perhaps I'll talk to him about that.
i hope the boy is learning how to sing! singing comes from a different part of the brain then just talking, so it may be easier for him to sing!
