New is a young cat Mutant who lives with her big brother, Karkinos, in the Lakeside town of Murkmire on the outskirts of Drasel. due to her mutation, she wears a mask that her brother made to prevent people from mistaking her for a monster. her mask also has pockets in the cheeks to put aromatic flowers to mask the smell of her rotting skin. in order to prevent her body from falling apart and rotting away, her brother works many jobs to get medication to insure she lives for another month.

Despite her state, she tries to remain optimistic, believing she'll eventually look normal again, but she is know to be spoiled as she gets upset when Karkinos doesn't find her favorite shows merchandise, Captain Tuna and his Cat-tastrophic Crew.
