A Breton pureblood-vampire born in Auridon to an Altmer father and Breton mother. He has a passionate interest in alchemy and the magical schools of conjuration and restoration. He also has an interest in the culinary arts and he sometimes subjecting his partners to his culinary obsession via plates of rich, exotic dishes.
He's outwardly aloof and stoic, only expressing emotion occasionally in awkward ways and at inappropriate times. He finds it difficult to read others just as others find it difficult to read him. This has impaired his ability to socialize properly, but he doesn't let it bother him. He becomes generally more laid back and unbothered by things in his life as he ages. Whenever he does become bothered or offended he finds it easy to internalize it.
After the disappearance of his partner and death of his last remaining friend, Cedric moves to Skyrim and joins up with a vampire clan lead by Lady Sigrun, a champion of Vaermina. Cedric himself becomes a Dreamwalker of Vaermina, though his soul is partially protected from Vaermina's full control due to Molag Bal's influence.
In the fourth era, Cedric is reunited with his old friend Aelius Vitellius, now a Champion of Meridia. Lady Sigrun becomes possessed by Vaermina when Aelius and Cedric threaten her and her plans to take further control of Skyrim. Cedric is forced to kill her, and Vaermina puts a permanent sleeping curse on Cedric.
