far above the underwater village known as oceandome is a small, plentiful island with few living inhabitants. on this island lives marina, a friendly manokit who runs a flourishing hotel on the beach shores of kuai-kuai.
the ko-koua hotel sits on the sands a five minute wonder from the docks of the island, famous for its tropical atmosphere and late night parties. the popularity of the hotel comes from its constant flow of one-night stay customers whom use the hotel as a break before dipping into the depths of the ocean- or for a nights rest before the trip back. alongside this, ko-koua is a helpful fifteen minute walk to the open marketplace, favoured for its fresh fruit and buzzing atmosphere.
marina opened the hotel fifteen years back as a small business to keep herself preoccupied, but was soon overwhelmed when she found herself swarmed by visitors to the island thankful for a place to stay. calling in help from lucien, and nou, old friend of hers, ko-koua rapidly expanded from a few room hostel to a full blown restaurant and B&B within a few months. from that point on, the manokit found herself hiring and directing the business as if it was second nature to her.
professionalism aside, marina is a welcoming, party loving manokit who doesn't know the definition of a bad time. if she isn't busy taking care of the hotel, you can often find her on the beach with a coconut full of milk and listening to the sea. during the night however, she's mostly seen hovering around the hotel bar and cheerfully talking to those around.
if you ever have any issues or just want a friendly chat, marina is definitely down for it. feel free to just sit down and start rambling, she'll treat you like an old friend!
