Villager: Darga the Red

Rita was incredibly frightened when one of the recent hatchlings began to speak, mimicking the words she used most often (sweetie and breakfast.) She named the little one Darga, and brought it back to her house to try and find out if it was just parroting or if it were intelligent. As far as she could tell, the little one appeared to be as smart as a baby. Other than this, she's a typical red vampbird. She grew quickly, like vampbirds normally do, and with that Rita saw rapid mental development as well.

Darga feels a bit off. So much smaller than other villagers, she doesn't feel comfortable among them. Most mistake her for a beast. She can't stand being around other vampbirds, though. Their utter lack of understanding is... unnerving. It frightens her that she was meant to be like them. Rita does her best to lift Darga's spirits, though, and has promised that Darga will always be welcome in her home.
