Appearance: She's a very small, and relatively thin Calico, with scars that she covers with as many fluffy pieces of clothing she can get her hands on. Her right ear is missing, having been cut off by the owners of the circus when she was small. She hides the disfigured part of her head with the beanie, and she's rarely seen with it off. She will more often than not wear jeans, but you'll occasionally find her in a skater skirt and flannel shirt, only on special occasions however.
Personality: She's a very timid and shy individual, scared of anything that moves too quickly, including people. However when she warms up to you she can be quite crude and very easy to get along with. She has the snort laugh.
Relationships: She's been in one relationship with a male and a female, but after one was fatally injured and the other killed on show, she quickly cut herself off from them, feeling as though she would rather be alone than be hurt in the way she was again.
Backstory: Kidnapped from the young age of 7 from her home, she was raised in the circus to be a performer for the shows, forced to perform against her will. She first began to learn magic when a new performer was brought in, a mage. They taught her everything they knew in the hope that Mari would escape eventually.
After a few more years of practice, at the age of 18, she finally mastered the mage skill, and managed to escape the prison that was the circus, getting her tutor killed in the process. She now lives with Paladin and Marylynne, her surrogate parents. With Paladin's aid, she gets better at casting every day, and wishes to become a professional when she is old enough to learn the rest of the spells.
Likes: fluff, stupid jokes, puns, warm clothes, fires and flying.
Dislikes: loud noises (from cannons/fireworks), screaming, cheering, large crowds, fast movements, cages
Extras: She now lives with Marylynne and Paladin in a cabin in the north, away from the city and the things that make her most anxious. She attends a small mages school near her home, and is friends with Peter Robinson, whom she is very close to.
