proxy is a small ghost who died on the beach when they were only a few months old. they aren't visible to other animals, and that led them to cry nonstop for the first few years of their afterlife. although they can't be seen, it has led to many rumors that there is an entity on the beach. this is due to the wailing sounds that were heard, and some even believe they are the reason why the ocean's water is so salty. estelle was the only one who was able to see them, and they became friends. estelle even tied a balloon around her waist to make herself float like proxy. this was to help them feel better about being a ghost.
