About
he's the king of a kitsune country called Shizura hidden in the snowy trees and mountains of the lower floating continent of Cress. He's proficient in illusions, ice magic, and wind magic and is 900 years old. He tries to rule his subjects fairly and listen to his subjects concerns. However even he can get too stressed out by the pressures of being a ruler and has to go "take a break" by going out in the country side and turning into a pretend hermit in a cozy little alcove of a cave atop a waterfall. He finds it rather relaxing and helps him recharge before heading back home to his lovely wife. Sometimes his wife and/or son will come to visit him while he's taking his break at the cave.
Some time ago though he and his family were the unwilling victims of a terrible scheme to remove him from the throne. This included kidnapping his wife and child, and faking their deaths as part of a plan to make Iketo go insane with grief and anger triggering the conditions necessary for them to turn him into a demon beast. Since his family managed to break free before the transformation was complete and permanent and came to see him, he was able to break the spell conditions causing a imperfect transformation making him only partially demonic. after a bitter sweet reunion with his family he decided to leave them to find a way to remove the remnants of what the cursed spell had done to him so that they could return to normal life. His research and travels lead him to see the aid of the head master of the great magic college at Cress, Upon hearing his story the head master accepted the task of finding a way to fix his condition and gave him a room to stay in at the college while they tried to solve the problem together.
