About
Species range in the height of 6'6" for females, 7'11" for males. Weight between 227-375lbs depending on size.
Body covered in short oily fur, with leather wings and fins. Males tend to have bony spines down the center of their head and down to their back while females have long feathery fur.
Their colors vary in pastels and whites, but can come in a wide variety of color.
Their main source of diet is fish, insects, and fruit. Depending on their preferred habitat, more aerial glubs prefer wild beetles and moths while more aquatic glubs prefer squids and eels. Glubs are also easily baited by cheesecake, it's irresistible to them and they will befriend anyone for a slice of cheesecake.
Their age range is typically 200-225 years, but they are prone to illness and disabilities that can possibly shorten their lifespan.
Their mating practice involves glubs drumming on their bellies, bright colors rippling over their fur with each drum. The louder the drum and the brighter the color, the more attractive they are to the ones they're wooing. Once a partner has been chosen, the two (or more) will spend three nights cuddling one another in a tree to bond and mingle their scents. From there, they're mates for life
Glub pregnancies usually last two weeks. From there, a small fetus is birthed and then tucked into a belly pouch for two years until the fetus has fully developed and the baby is strong enough to ride its parents back until it learns to swim and fly. Baby glubs don't grow their teeth, claws, fins, wings, or head decoration until about eight years old. Swimming is usually the first thing they're taught aside from walking. And flying is only taught after they've mastered swimming.
Glubs enjoy weather of all sorts! They love to roll in snow and bury themselves in it and love to swim in the summer heat. During rain, they enjoy flying through the rain clouds and getting themselves messy. And have been known to chase tornadoes to ride the winds for fun.
