Villager: Abyss

Abyss is a spirit that makes their home in the pools of soul sludge in the deepest circles of Jigoku. They find peace in living and mediating amongst the remains of the lost and decayed. Prolonged exposure to the soul sludge has permeated their being and warped both their appearance and mind; now they are no longer just themself, but they are also the trillions of memories of those who were lost.

Abyss finds those who are lost and weary and gives them inspiration towards their afterlife (though whether or not that inspiration is coherent is luck at best).
