Villager: Viri

A child marches past you, carrying a spear in one hand as he marches off, whistling merrily. Then it hits you - that's not a toy spear, that's an actual Spear of Mighty Thunder in his hands, is he even- no, of course he's not supposed to have that!!

You call out to him, asking just that, and the little gem raptor jumps, looking rather guilty.

"No, I- I am too supposed to have it! This is my shock stick! I poke the bad guys with it and it shocks them!"

You hold out your hand, but the kid only clutches it tightly to his chest, his little firefly swooping in alarmed circles around him.

"No! I was told I could have it, so, so leave me alone!"

...Well, you are a stranger here. And while he's probably not supposed to have it, this also isn't your kid. You make a mental note to ask the next adult you see, but for now drop your hand and apologize.

"Y-yeah, its okay. I'm Viri, and my lil buddy here is Chiasa! What's your name? Oooh, and where are you from? I'm gonna be the biggest and bestest explorer in all of Furvilla and beyond when I grow up! I'll explore the whole wide world and more and be super famous! 'Viri the Greatest Explorer', don't you forget it!"

"What's the weapon for? The bad guys, of course! There's lotsa bad guys you can run into while exploring, like monsters and muggers and stuff, so I go 'yaaah!' and they get shocked and go 'ahhhh!' and run away!"

As he speaks, the little raptor stabs the spear forward to pierce the air, making the appropriate sound effects. As soon as he's done speaking, Viri grins wickedly at you.

"Lightning damage is the best!"

"What am I doing to prepare for bein' the best explorer? Exploring, of course! And also cooking; you can't always rely on there being villages and stuff when you're out in the middle of nowhere. Number one rule of camping, always be prepared!"

"Of course, I bring back lots of treasures too from my exploration trips! Lookee, see how cool they are?"

Viri opens his bag and begins to show you its contents excitedly. A misshapen conch shell, colorful pebbles, some snail shells, ribbons, bottle caps, etc. There's even some retired FurCoins, wherever he found those. A children's treasure, basically.

"Yup! One day, when I'm big and strong, I'll find the best and shiniest treasure hidden in all of FurVilla and bring it back with me! You'll see!"

Someone starts calling his name, and the little gem raptor immediately looks guilty.

"Ahah, I uh, I gotta go - got a big exploration mission with my best friend, you see! Seeya later!"

Viri takes off in the opposite direction of the voice, moving quite quickly for a kid. You just shake your head. Kids. You'd best find whoever is looking for him and tell them where he went off to before he hurts himself - or someone else.
