"momma" was cursed by a fae to be a monster after she lost her children and attempted to make a deal to get them back. She told the fae she wanted them back, but not how she wanted them back, so the fae gave her a plush and a gemlin that were her two children, and as payment, she was transformed into a monsterous beast.
