Waffle is a mysterious Scientist who may have lost a bit of sanity while experimenting on themselves. Nobody in the Mad House Community knows their age, nor do they want to ask about it for fear of the Alchemist's reaction. Everybody has mixed feelings around Waffle, they may like them but they will always fear them since there's a lot that Waffle doesn't talk about.
Some say Waffle didn't use to be a Snuffle. Nothing is clear but it could be due to an experiment that they turned themselves into a Snuffle.
Personality
It is hard to say what Waffle feels or thinks since they are so unpredictable, but with careful observations from their roomates in the Mad House, we know that they can be extatic when they succeed to craft new potions or discover something major. They can be frowny and sometimes dangerous when they are frustrated from a failed experiment or if they can't put the finger on what's missing. Overall, they are seen as a passionate Mad Scientist who can be creepy by their Community.
