On a cold night, just days before the Snow Festival of TigerEye Peak, Cyberus was visited by a nameless ferret with black fur so matted they seemed like scales, a solemn expression on their face, and a clearly broken heart, Mayor Memory, out of pity, welcomed the lonely wanderer into Cyberus, allowing them to seek refuge from the cold in the nearby inn, free of charge. However, on Christmas day, in the middle of the Snow Festival, Memory's fairy, Daffodil, gathered as many of their fellow fairies as they could convince, and they put on the yearly Fairy Light Show that Cyberus often helps them host for the special occasion.
In the aftermath, the fairies would often give their blessings to the villagers of Cyberus as thanks, however, a particular snow pet fairy was drawn to the scaly-looking mustelid that had arrived recently, and before anyone could react, a swirl of snowy wind surrounded them, and ashes flew off of their once tangled pelt, revealing fur whiter than fallen snow, and sitting infront of them was the smallest snow porcupine anyone in Cyberus had ever seen.
Mayor Memory laughed, remarking on how fairies were such peculiar things, and the snow fairy must have sensed their sadness. The newcomer soon joined in on the laughter, before reaching down to pick up their new minipet friend. Taking on the name Yuki, and naming their little snow pet Hiragi, the newcomer had finally found that Cyberus was not just a place to seek shelter, but rather a place that was the definition of the phrase, "home is where the heart is" and Yuki had finally found a place to keep their newly repaired heart.
