Chumbles is a bit feral. Some people would call that a harsh word but, he knows it, and enjoys it. He doesn't speak much, and when spoken to, he mostly nods his head and growls, either excitedly, or not so much. Nobody knows a whole lot about where Chumbles came from, but what they do know is that he came with Gingersnap the Cat, and they seemingly hail from some Christmas-y place. Chumbles is attentive, caring, and gentle, despite his feral nature and feisty species reputation. The only way in which Chumbles behaves truly to the name "beast" is in the way he eats. Though Chumbles appears to be covered in sweets, stuck to his sticky fur (they may even be a part of him) that doesn't stop him from stuffing himself silly with all kinds of cookies, candies, and frostings.
Chumbles is easily approached, and will happily grunt and smile at anyone who smiles at him. He is shy and cautious to some degree like others of his species, but he does not enjoy scaring others. Chumbles can be a bit forward, often lacking subtle ways to express how he's feeling or what he's thinking. He will often just point to what he wants, rather than verbalize. Chumbles is best friends with Hoffman, being oblivious to her crush on him, as he is usually to such things. He is an explorer and often can only think of that! Because when he explores, he finds candycorn! Chumbles loves pancakes and maple creme cookies most, as the Professor was the one who introduced him to Maple Syrup. He's forever grateful. Sometimes, because Chumbles lacks an understanding of social cues, he will try and imitate what he sees everyone else doing. This usually ends in very funny things, such as Chumbles barking like a dog to try and communicate, as the dogs would.
Chumbles lives alone in a candy constructed house, though Hoffman wishes to live with him. Chumbles likes to wear a leash, and his lucky socks. In his free time he can be found baking sweets, watching old cartoons, collecting old junk food containers and wrappers, and combing his magnificent hair (just like the professor taught him too).
Chumbles and Gingersnap the cat are very close, as they grew up together wherever it is that they came from. Chumbles is very protective of Gingersnap, and Gingernap very protective of Chumbles.
