About
A kind soul from Tigereye Peak who's had to take care of herself for as long as she can remember after losing her family to a mysterious illness. Burr survived, but small village rumors lingered of her being cursed, and so she took to wandering at only 16 years old. After traversing the continent, she found herself in Tigereye Peak again after all these years. Not long after crossing the border at nightfall, she came across Mason the hyena, wounded and unconscious in the snow.
Dragging them behind her and making camp in a cavern to take shelter from the cold winds, Burr treated his wounds. Upon regaining consciousness, Mason had little to no memory of who they were beyond a name, gender identity, and the monster attack that left him for dead. Grateful for Burr saving them, Mason decided to travel alongside her to try to backtrack who he was before the attack. Even after failing to find his forgotten history, the duo are very close friends. They later founded the Wayfarers group alongside Hush & later Isa.
Burr is somewhat shy after years of minimal social contact, but doesn't hesitate to help others in times of need, and is incredibly loyal to her friends, even when they're in the wrong. She's well travelled with good survival skills, and knows how to live off the land with few luxuries. Although not the best barterer or liar, coming across as somewhat gullible to strangers, Burr is far from naive and refuses to give up being kind to others.
She enjoys being helpful and shows affection through physical contact like hugs or preparing one of her dubious dishes (survival meals), though her drink preparation is perfectly passable. After being touch starved for so long in her life, Burr often has sleepovers with Mason as he has frequent trauma nightmares so they can take comfort in each other's presence. Hush may occasionally join in per Burr's request, and though he grumbles the entire time, it's clearly not terrible to him since Hush could easily refuse.
Burr has slight combat skills in a pinch with a common petty thief or hostile wild creature, but would be easily defeated by an experienced warrior. Having been forced to travel light to avoid being overburdened during her wandering years, Burr was tearful to have a permanent home, and fills it with trinkets almost to the point of hoarding. Burr refers to it as her collection.
