Deniz is a very peculiar individual. While a skilled doctor and not exactly unkind, when villagers walk into his clinic they find themselves offput by his eerie, unblinking stare and monotone manner of speaking.
Something about the barn owl feels... Ancient. Old. Like he's been around for a lot longer than he says he has. When you stay around him for too long, a ringing will start to hum in your ears. The air around him seems to shimmer and distort, There's something weird about the way he moves, the slight smile he wears when he sells you one of his concoctions.
The only time he really shows any emotion other than calm or mild judgement is when he's around Warden or Frisk. When near his partners, he noticably relaxes, and though he remains to be rather flat, he opens up considerably. It is then it's the best time to try and socialize with him. Warden occassionally stops to visit in his clinic, and while vae is vaer own brand of weird, most customers note they feel less creeped out with vaer around.
