Gwenwyn was a sister to a conqueror, a princess through conquest. She was beloved by her people. When her brother took the throne and chose to marry, she became close to her new sister through marriage. Gwenwyn kept many friends at court, often making them gifts of the beautiful flowers she kept.

Who would ever wish her harm? While harvesting some night-blooming flowers for her closest childhood friend, she was attacked. By the time she was found it was too late to save her. Heartbroken, Gwenwyn's queen gathered the most powerful witches and wizards she could find. Using the lives of the plants Gwenwyn loved they gave her life once more but she was a shell of her former self.

No longer able to see or hear, the people of the kingdom debate if she's truly alive or a vessel for the plants. Any attempt to speak leaves Gwenwyn choking up pollen and petals. The queen holds her far too dear to let her go but vows that her assailant will be brought to justice for robbing Gwenwyn of her true life.
