Closed Door Exploit & Event Part 2

Hello all, just here to touch base with you on a couple things regarding the event!
- First off, we are aware of the exploit that allows users to interact with closed doorsteps. This isn't a major issue by itself, but continued use of this bug will result in all your karma points being purged as it is still abuse of an exploit which is against the site rules.
- Secondly, we are aiming to have the second part of the DMM Event up and running on schedule tomorrow. But if this ends up not being the case and we experience any delays, we are prepared to extend the event dates to compensate.

is it really a good idea to mention an exploit without seeming to have fixed it...?
Is the ease of recycle point availability due to this event mean that the recycle species is coming soon? Seriously, we were supposed to at least know which species won in August :/
I've been meaning to ask this for quite a while now... What's going on with the new species contest? Weren't we supposed to get the results in August? Why is everyone acting as if it never happened?
Trix2000 thank you for that! I never could find a guide for this event, which left me struggling to understand how to even get started. That's probably why I'm so far behind with my candy count.
Oregoncoast No, from the sound of it the exploit only affects karma, which doesn't seem to have an effect on candy after a certain point. Karma not having much effect after several hundred is probably part of why they don't consider it a major issue.
Likely, the people with higher values are just online a lot more, as that is the main thing that determines how much candy is dropped in your jacks. Candy drops happen every ten minutes, but only when you are online at the time.
Is this why some have so many points? My own candy points are kinda paltry compared with the others. I've barely cleared 3k after grinding and others seem to have ten times the amount. It just seems odd.

It is disappointing to see nothing is being done about the negative candy point situation. So many of us have way less candy points than we should have. I am really feeling like I wasted my time with this event. =/
I was hoping for there to be more of an update on other things (I.E. candy related stuff), but I am looking forward to part 2 starting tomorrow(hopefully)!
Can't wait to see the shop <3! I hope you guys don't have to deal with anything major ;owo
