I mean, you can really give a nice gift or message to someone any time of the year, it doesn't just have to be at the Holidays. There are alot of gift giving threads around for that, too. But people do certainly come together during the Holdiays and we all just have a lot of fun. ^w^
Furvilla certainly tries to keep a theme for the events each year but they also try to change things up each year so things don't get dull and to keep people's interest and try to bring new friends to the community. :D I look forward to the events each year for sure, too!
And yeah I love the artists they are bringing for these explore events just the dedication they are pouring into this site just for us to click some buttons. I love it so much and I wish I could give back more, but just playing on this site and enjoying their hard earned work I'm sure brings them so much joy <33 I just love the villagers and art and backgrounds, and monsters and pets, and items, and aaahhh I could go on and on, it's just all so good and beautiful ;-;
And it's fine don't worry about how you used to talk or write in the past! Learning to spell or grammatically speak well or just learn a new style or writing is all about maturing and growing. We all go through it and we all have to start somewhere. I myself write and type differently from one person to the next and use emojis here whereas I don't in school papers. It's all about the environment.

Yeah, it took me quite a bit to get used to things here, too, but I've been here almost 3 years now, and I quite like it. The site has its ups and downs, but I love the community, and how involved the staff is with everyone. I have seen this site only pushing forward, even if it doesn't always make perfect improvements, but does any site really? So, ya, I've been around for quite a while, and I love it here. ^-^
The Winter events each year actually one of my favorites. I get a laugh of how AH Career causes an explosion of over Breeding cuz the Snowpets are temp breedable daily. And then the Giving Tree always gets flooded. But I love seeing what both the Fairy's bring (the Event Fairys) and I love the Spirit of Giving of Anon Fairys as people randomly give gifts to one another from art, to items or currency, to just a simple message to, "Have a great day!" ^-^ If you stick around for the Winter Festival this year, I'm sure you'll see first hand just what I mean <3
I personally quite liked the Halloween Event from last year. But I understand how it would have been very confusing to newcomers, returning, or casual players. Last year's DMM Event was designed quite differently than the event from 2 years ago, as it was sort of a test to see how it would go, and just trying out something new and fun. The diseases were meant for spinning the Wheel at the Event, and to be a permanent disease if so desired to be used in the Warrior Career. But I don't know how well that was explained in all the chaos. But trust me the event from 2 years ago was PURE CHAOS. XD Pretty much just everyone going around smashing pumpkins, getting Sludge pets or literal baseball bat flying... bats... and people saying "Lights On" or "Lights Off" for "Trick or Treat". ^-^; it was... different. Lol
I hope you having fun with this event, though! :D If you couldn't tell, Oceandome is permanent home, and this is my favorite yearly event <33 I just love exploring the maps and reading the different adventure cues to see what the staff has come up with next :D I know it is very limited still, but I still find it intriguing and fun to discover something new. ^-^ I like to think my villagers/OC's are actually exploring the vast world of Furvilla, finding treasure, and meeting new people. It makes things more fun that way, ya know?
